Obituary of Charles Rodenas
Charles Rodenas, of Haverstraw, passed away on May 1, 2014. He was 78. Charles was born to Emmanuel and Mary (Stager) Rodenas on February 26, 1936, in New York City. Charles was a bus mechanic for M.A.B.S.T.O.A. in New York City. He served his country proudly in Germany during the Korean conflict. Charles will be remembered for his love of history, long walks, family gatherings, and for his love of the beach.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Carol (Gregory), his children Linda (James) Coovert, Charles (Deanna), James (Iris) and Tony, his grandchildren Michael, Shana, Sean, John, Gregory, Carrie, Lea, Isabella, Matthew, Nicole, Gabrielle and Kelly, and by his great-grandchildren Noah and Xavier. He is also survived by his brothers Eddie and George Rodenas, and by his daughter-in-law Maura Rodenas.
Charles was predeceased by his son John Rodenas.
Charles's family will receive friends at T.J. McGOWAN SONS FUNERAL HOME, 133 Broadway, Haverstraw, on Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, May 5 at 10am at St. Peter's Church, Haverstraw, with burial to follow at F.W. Loescher Veterans Cemetery, New Hempstead, NY.
