Obituary of Neil M Armida

Neil M. Armida, 93, of Garnerville passed away suddenly on September 26 with his loving family by his side. He was born on Sept 28, 1920 in Maiori, Italy to Frederico & Carimina (Scannapicco) Armida. Neil Married the love of his life Rose on September 26, 1943, she predeceased him on September 9, 1992. Neil proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII. He was an Avid NY Yankees fan. Besides his wife Neil is predeceased by his brothers & sister Millie Cacciatore & her twin Patrick Armida and Fred Armida. He is survived by his loving son Neil F. Armida and his wife Joanne of Garnerville, his cherished grandchildren Michele (Jim) Carron, Neil Jr. (Deirdre), Brian (Ivone) Nick (Jaime), his adored great grandchildren Michael, Nicholas, Joseph, Christopher and Daniel. He also survived by his niece Millie (Jim) Peters & his Nephew Anthony Cacciatore and numerous other loving niece's & Nephews. The family will receive friends & relatives on Monday Sept. 29th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the T J McGowan Sons Funeral Home 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Neil on Tuesday Sept. 30th at 10 AM at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church in Garnerville, with Entombment in Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale.
