Obituary of Mary E. Kostrubal

Mary E. Kostrubal, 96, of Stony Point, passed away on September 30, 2014. Mary was born on May 23, 1918 to Michael and Mary (Petrik) Suchan in Tarrytown, NY. She married her loving husband Michael on April 23, 1948. He predeceased her on September 1, 2000. Mary worked for many years at Eastern Aircraft in East Tarrytown (Formerly the General Motors Plant) in the ??? department. Mary loved to travel and see her family, especially in the Czech Republic. Mary is survived by her loving children: Michael (Carol) Kostrubal of Stony Point, William J. of Monsey, Donald J. of Stony Point, and Janet F. of Wheeling, IL. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Jason M., Paul (Valerie) Bastone Jr., Donna (Richard) Larsen; and by her beloved great-grandchildren: Jessica Bastone, Harrison Bastone, Tyler Larsen, Samantha Larsen, and Jake Larsen. She is also survived by her adored nieces Veronica Ford and Valerie Celentino, as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Michael, her beloved sisters Victoria and Mildred, and by her parents. Mary's family will receive friends at T.J. McGOWAN SONS FUNERAL HOME, 71 N. Central Hwy, Garnerville, on Friday, October 3, 2014 from 4-7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mary on Saturday, October 4 at 10am at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church, Garnerville, with interment to follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow, NY.
