Obituary of Jamie Robert Conklin

Jamie Robert Conklin, of Stony Point, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 5, 2014. He was 35. Born on February 21, 1979 to Joseph W. and Debra Jean (Westbrook) Conklin, Jamie lived his entire life in Stony Point. Jamie graduated from North Rockland High School in 1997 and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked at Victor P. Zugibe, Inc. for many years. Jamie will be remembered for his love of dogs, his passion for bow hunting, sports (especially the Yankees), and riding motorcycles. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. Jamie is survived by his loving mother Debra, by his siblings: Jackie Lee, Joseph William, and Jason Wayne (Charlene); by his beloved grandparents: Joyce & Bill Conklin and Bob & Joyce Westbrook; by his aunts and uncles: Donna Conklin, Debbie (Jeff) Harlow, Donna (Vincent) Kenney, Robert Westbrook, James (Susie) Conklin, and Jeffrey (Nancy) Conklin; by his beloved niece Crystal Grace Conklin, by his beloved dogs Bullet and Diablo, and by many cousins and friends. Jamie was preceded in death by his father Joseph on October 24, 2013. Jamie's family will receive friends at T.J. MCGOWAN SONS FUNERAL HOME, 71 N. Central Hwy, GARNERVILLE, on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 11 at 10am at Trinity Episcopal Church in Garnerville, with interment to follow at Mt. Repose Cemetery.
