Obituary of Anthony F. DeSena

Anthony F. DeSena, of Pomona, passed away unexpectedly on October 29, 2014. He was 41. Anthony was born on April 30, 1973 to John DeSena and Anna Marie (O'Brien) Anderson in Suffern, NY. Anthony graduated North Rockland High School in 1991. He will be remembered for his love of sports, especially the Jets, Yankees and NASCAR. He will also be remembered for his love of his nieces, nephews and his dog, Duke. Anthony is survived by his beloved mother Anna Marie and his stepfather Eric; by his brother John DeSena, and by his sisters: Tracy (Edward) Herska and Mary (Joe) D'Urso. He is also survived by his cherished nieces and nephews: Katie and Chrissy Herska, and Joey, Max and Liam D'Urso, and by numerous cousins and countless friends. Anthony's family will receive friends at T.J. McGOWAN SONS FUNERAL HOME, 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, on Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Anthony on Monday, November 3 at 10am at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church, Garnerville, with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
