Obituary of Lillian Bubenko

Lillian Bubenko, 91, of Haverstraw, NY passed away suddenly on January 25, 2015. She was born on Feb. 12, 1923 in Haverstraw, NY to John & Mary (Dyossky) Kohut. Lillian married John Bubenko on June 10, 1944, He predeceased her in 1986. Lillian worked in the Provident Bank in Haverstraw for a short while and at the Elk piece Dye factory in Garnerville for many years. Besides her husband and parents Lillian is predeceased by her brothers Joseph Zayac, Paul Kopchac and her sisters Mary Prudente and Mary Siko. She is survived by her loving Children Joan (Thomas) Rau of Stony Point, NY and John Jr.(Julie) Bubenko of Garnerville, her adored grandchildren Melissa, Matthew, Jeniffer, Kaitlyn, Jacqueline, Christine and Julie ann, her cherished great grandchildren Kayleigh, Addison, John, Cole, charlette and Julie ann. Also surviving is her beloved sister Ann Spissinger of Haverstraw, NY and many nieces, nephews and cousins The family will receive family & friends on Weds Jan 28th from 7 - 9 PM and Thurs Jan 29th from 2-4 & 7 - 9 PM at the T J McGowan Sons Funeral Home 71 N. Central Highway Garnerville, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Lillian on Friday Jan 30th at 10 AM in St. Mary's Church in Haverstraw with interment to follow in St. Peters Cemetery.
