Obituary of Cosimo Damiano Corvasce

Cosimo Damiano Corvasce, "Danny" 70, of Stony Point passed away on February 1, 2015. He was born on March 17, 1944 in Barletta, Italy to Ruggiero & Nunzia (DiStaso) Corvasce. Cosimo proudly served as a sergeant in The US Army. He retired from Coca Cola in Elmsford as a production supervisor after 45 dedicated years. He married the love of his life Lucia on July 5, 1970, who predeceased him. Cosimo's joys in life were spending time with his grandchildren and playing soccer, along with going to watch various sporting events. Besides his parents and his wife, he is predeceased by his two brothers Tommaso & Michele and his two sisters Graziella and Rosina. Cosimo is survived by his loving children Roger Corvasce of Stony Point, Nancy (Edward) DeGennaro of Stony Point and Damian (Mirella) of Clark, N.J., his adored grandchildren Anthony and Angela DeGennaro, Matteo Corvasce, Jacob and Lucas Morgan, his cherished sister Veronica Corvasce and brother Carmine Corvasce as well as many cherished family and friends. The family will receive friends & relatives on Friday Feb. 6th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home 71 N. Central Highway Garnerville, NY. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Cosimo on Sat, Feb. 7th at 9:45 AM at the church of the Immaculate Conception, Stony Point, NY with Interment to follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery in Nanuet.
