Obituary of Yvette Hewitt
Yvette Hewitt, 87, of West Haverstraw passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 27, 2018. She was born on June 27, 1931 in Lodi, NJ to Frank & Catherine (Plassart) Cadet. She married the love of her life John Hewitt on November 17, 1956 in St Peters Church in Haverstraw. Yvettes passion was spending time with her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her sisters Josette Hewitt & Jeannine Simon. Yvette is survived by her loving husband of 62 years John of West Haverstraw, her beloved children Catherine (John) Phillips of Stony Point, John Jr. Hewitt (his companion Marybeth) of Stony Point, Louise Santiago (Nelson) of Cornwall, NY, her cherished grandchildren Edward, Michael, Jacquline, Devron, John III and Nicholas, her adored great grandchildren Scarlett, Jaxson, Michael Jr, Michaela, Courtney, Justin and her caring sister Andre (William) Walsh, along with numerous nieces & nephews. Also her special loving dog Chloe. The family would like to give a special thanks to the United Hospice of Rockland for the special care they gave Yvette.
The family will receive friends & relative on Wednesday August 29th from 9:30 to 11 AM at the TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home 133 Broadway Haverstraw, NY. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 AM with Interment to follow in St. Peters Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Yvette’s memory to the United Hospice of Rockland 11 Stokum Lane New City, NY 10956
