Obituary of Thomas J. Allen

Thomas J. Allen, 87, of Stony Point, NY, passed away August 10, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY. He was born on August 15, 1929 in New York City to Thomas and Agnes Allen. While growing up in New York City, Tom met and married the love of his life Jeanne on June 15, 1952, and moved to Rockland county in 1965. Thomas worked for the New York Telephone Company for over 40 years. He was a past House Chairman and and Life Member of the Haverstraw Elks. Thomas is survived by: his loving wife of 65 years Jeanne (Fayhee) Allen, son Robert (Lynne) Allen of Arizona, grandsons Daniel (Bliss) Coleman & Sean Coleman of Colorado, and great-granddaughters Chloe, Fiona and Kacey Jeanne. He was predeceased by his loving parents Thomas & Agnes Allen, daughter Stacy (Allen) Coleman, son-in-law Kevin J. Coleman, and three brothers: Robert, Edward and William. The family will receive friends & relatives at T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY on Monday, August 14, 2017 between the hours of 7pm til 9pm, and Tuesday, August 15 between the hours of 2pm til 4pm, and 7pm til 9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church at 26 John Street, Stony Point, NY on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 10am. Following the mass, Thomas will be laid to rest at Saint Peter's Cemetery in Haverstraw, NY.
