Obituary of Victor A. Lisewski
Victor A. Lisewski Sr. passed away on August 29, 2017.
Victor was born and raised in Haverstraw, NY to his late, loving parents Felix and Pelegia Lisewsky. While at a dance at Scotty's Restaurant in West Nyack in 1946, he met the love of his life, Margaret Colarelli whom he courted for two years. In 1948, they married. Victor was retired from Ford Motor Company. Victor A. Lisewski Sr. passed away on August 29, 2017.
Victor was born and raised in Haverstraw, NY to his late, loving parents Felix and Pelegia Lisewsky. While at a dance at Scotty's Restaurant in West Nyack in 1946, he met the love of his life, Margaret Colarelli whom he courted for two years. In 1948, they married. Victor was retired from Ford Motor Company. He proudly served his country in World War II. He was a member of the Haverstraw Elks for many years. He sang in the St. Gregory Barbarigo choir for several years.
Victor is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Margaret Lisewski; his sister Patricia May; his daughters: Linda (Michael) Honara and Debra Clark; his son Victor Lisewski Jr. and his fiancée Victoria Berman; his grandchildren: Christopher Honara, Joanne (Scott) Bensky, Erin (Ron) Charlton, Allison (Paul) Denver, Brian Clark, Kevin (Marilyn) Lisewski, Collin Lisewski and his fiancée Jessica, and Tara Lisewski; his great-grandchildren: Trenton & Sebastian Honara, Jake, Drew & Ava Bensky, Olivia Charlton, Gregory & Mairead Denver, and Rowan & Caden Lisewski. He was predeceased by brothers: Felix. John, Antone, and Joseph; and by his sisters: Mary, Helen, Eva and Ann.
Victor's family will receive friends on T.J. MCGOWAN SONS FUNERAL HOME, 71 N. Central Highway, GARNERVILLE, NY on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Victor on Saturday, September 2 at 10 AM at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church, Garnerville, with interment to follow at F.W. Loescher Veterans Cemetery, New Hempstead, NY.
He proudly served his country in World War II. He was a member of the Haverstraw Elks for many years. He sang in the St. Gregory Barbarigo choir for several years.
