Obituary of Justina Rivera

It is with great sadness that the family of Justina Rivera of Stony Point announce she left this world on Monday, September 25, 2017 after a brave battle with cancer. Justina was a devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandparent and friend. She is survived by her son Eladio "Lee" Rivera (Mary Kay); Orlando Rivera (Debbie); Elsie Vasquez (Luis); Marilyn Piesco (Fred) and Modesto Rivera (Helen). She was blessed to love her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Eladio Rivera, Sr. Justina always had a kind word, a prayer or comfort for all & enriched the lives of all who came to know her. Visiting hours will be Friday, September 29, 2017 at TJ McGowan & Sons Funeral Home, 71 Central Highway, Garnerville, New York 10923 from 2-4 and 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 12 p.m. at St. Peter's Church, Broadway, Haverstraw, New York. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Route 9W, Haverstraw, New York.
