Obituary of Richard Coyne

Richard J. Coyne, known by all as Richie, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 59 on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. A native of North Rockland, Richie was born in Suffern, on April 27, 1953. Richie was a beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend. He is survived by his siblings and their spouses Matthew and Ellen Coyne of Stony Point, NY, Marybeth and Bill Minton of Cape Cod, MA, Michael and Pat Coyne of Stony Point, NY and Kevin and Gina Coyne of Stony Point, NY. He is also survived by his very special 'Aunt' Pat Bennett, nieces and nephews, Helene (Joel Herold), Mike (Cassy), Beth, Mac, Katie, Timmy, Maggie, Rosie, Katherine, JoAnn, Dawn and Allison and a great niece and nephew, Samuel and Vivian. Richie was a permanent fixture on the golf course and was an active member at the Haverstraw Elks Club B.P.O.E. #877. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend who will always be remembered for his love of family, gentleness and caring toward others. Friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, April 1 from 5pm-8pm and Tuesday, April 2 from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm at McGowan's Funeral Home at 71 N. Central Highway in Garnerville, N.Y. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, April 3 at 10am at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church on Cinder Road in Garnerville, N.Y.
