Obituary of Jackie O'Grady

Jackie F. Dempsey- O'Grady of Tomkins Cove died Tuesday April 9, 2013 at home surrounded by her family. She was 48. Jacqueline was born September 6, 1964 in Suffern to John and Jane (Hughes) Dempsey. She graduated from North Rockland High School "Class of 1982" and received her degree from Stockton State College in New Jersey. She owned her own physical therapy practice Accurate Care in Stony Point. Jackie is survived by her loving husband of 20 years Kevin, children Kaitlyn, Ryan and Kylie. Her mother Jane Dempsey, sisters and their husbands Renee and Michael Lynch, Coleen and Tom Grommisch, Karen and Tom Norris, Nancy and Robert Martin, Shannon and Robert Rutherford. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Jackie is predeceased by her father John Dempsey in 2009. Jackie will be remembered by all for her courage, sense of humor, love of life and most important her dedication and passion to her husband and children. Not only was she an inspiration to many, she impacted the lives of those she met. Jackie's smile lit up every room she entered; she will be forever missed but never forgotten. Jackie's visiting hours are Thursday and Friday from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm at the T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home GARNERVILLE. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 am in Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
