Obituary of Biagia Caffarelli

Biagia Caffarelli of Stony Point New York passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 18, 2017. Biagia was born on October 2nd 1928 to the late Angelo and Antonia Paolillo in San Piero Patti, Italy. She married the love of her life Frank Caffarelli on April 21st 1955. They joyfully welcomed their two children, Anthony and Antoinette, into the world. Biagia was a loving wife and mother who cared for her family and home above all else. She loved to cook and bake. Friends and family were always welcome at her kitchen table and no one ever left her home hungry. Biagia was also a master gardener. Her flower gardens impressed all who walked or drove by her home. Her gentle heart cared for and loved all animals. But above all else, her children were the apples of her eye, whom she adored more than life itself. She is survived by her beloved daughter Antoinette and son in law Eugene Thompson of Stony Point, her niece and nephew Carmelina and Don Hains of New City, as well as numerous nieces and nephews in both Italy and Australia. She was pre-deceased by her husband Frank and beloved son Anthony. She was also pre-deceased by her twin sister Mary of Australia, as well as, her two brothers Angelo and Sebastiano, two sisters, Angelina and Catena, and her parents. Visitation will be Tuesday November 21st between the hours of 3 and 8 pm at T.J. McGowan Funeral Home in Garnerville, New York. A funeral mass will be held at St. Peters Church in Haverstraw, New York on Wednesday November 22nd at 10 am with internment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery also in Haverstraw, New York.
