Obituary of Margaret Gamboli

Margaret T. Gamboli, 97, of Haverstraw, passed away on March 9, 2014. Born in Haverstraw on August 22, 1916, to Carl and Josephine (Rossi) Gizzi, Margaret was a lifelong resident of Haverstraw. She was a dedicated beautician and homemaker. Margaret was a charter member of Council 581 "Columbiettes," an avid volunteer of the Lady's Auxiliary of Haverstraw Little League, but she mostly loved to spend time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Margaret is survived by her loving son Vincent J. (Carolyn) Gamboli of Garnerville; her beloved grandchildren: Vincent, Donna Rose, Michael, Christine Vigiliotti and nine great-grandchildren; and by her brothers: Anthony Gizzi of Haverstraw and Philip Gizzi of Stony Point. Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband Dominic "Babe", by her brothers John and Carl Jr., and by her sister Wilomena "Billie" Paradise. The Gamboli family will receive friends at T.J. McGOWAN SONS FUNERAL HOME, 133 Broadway, Haverstraw, NY, on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, from 4-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 13 at St. Peter's Church, 115 Broadway, Haverstraw, with interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Haverstraw. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Peter's Church, Haverstraw.
