Obituary of Jimmy Brennan

James Brennan, of Stony Point, passed away on April 7, 2014. He was 64. Jimmy was born on July 10, 1949 to Michael and Bridget (Cleere) Brennan in Brooklyn, NY. Jimmy worked as an Elevator Mechanic for I.B.E.W. Local 3 before retiring in 2005. Jimmy was a kind, loving man who will be remembered for his generosity, his love of music and his sense of humor. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Rita (McCarthy) Brennan. Jimmy is also survived by his beloved children Kyra and Matthew, and his brother, Martin. Jimmy was loved and will be greatly missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Uncle Frank, Aunt Mary, Aunt Peg and Uncle Joe. Jimmy's family will receive friends at T.J. McGOWAN SONS FUNERAL HOME, 71 N. CENTRAL HIGHWAY, GARNERVILLE, NY on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 6-9pm, andon Friday, April 11 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church, 21 Cinder Rd., Garnerville, on Saturday, April 12 at 10am.
