Obituary of Catherine A Courtney

Catherine A. Courtney, 84,of Stony Point, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2014. She was born on Dec. 19, 1929 in Donegal, Ireland to Patrick & Catherine (Gallagher) McGrath. At nine months old Catherine came with her family to the United States. Catherine worked for NYNEX as a service Coordinator. She is predeceased by the love of her life, her husband of thirty seven years, James (1988) and her loving daughter Catherine Nytko (2012).Catherine is survived by her Son-in-law William Nytko of Thiells, her cherished grandchildren Catherine of Thiells & William of Stony Point, her adored great granddaughter Grace Catherine and her loving brother & sister James McGrath & Rose Siegrist. The Family will receive friends & relative on Sunday June 8thfrom 2 -4 & 7 - 9 PM at the TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home 71 N. Central Highway Garnerville, NY. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Catherine on Monday June 9th at 10 AM in St. Peters Church in Haverstraw with interment to follow in St. Peters Cemetery.
